I would describe Click’s culture as a blend of passion and curiosity. As an associate design director, I have been working to improve the experience of the cognitive restructuring module in one of Click’s applications. The challenge? Turning a difficult task into an engaging and fun activity. The exciting part? That when we succeed, our work has the potential to alleviate the symptoms of a debilitating mental condition.

As a platform science manager, I am focused on managing the discovery process for various programs, integrating the power of ML and AI into our science roadmap. Cross-functional collaboration is key in my role and ensures that each project is not only engaging but also leaves an impactful footprint. The most satisfying part of my job is knowing that the research and contributions I make has the potential to improve the lives of individuals facing the complexities of mental conditions.

Data Scientist

Being a data scientist at Click Therapeutics involves collaborating closely with machine learning engineers, data engineers and data analysts to execute multiple machine learning projects supporting external productions and internal use cases. For example, we design machine learning projects that help understand our users’ behaviors and elevate their user experience through using our products. Extensive collaboration with other teams, such as software engineering and clinical development, is essential to provide data solutions that address product development, improve clinical research and development and generate business value.

Shaheen Lakhan, MD, PhD, FAAN

Chief Medical Officer

Shaheen Lakhan is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Click Therapeutics. He is a physician-scientist, biotech executive, and biopharma board director with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, academia, and industry focusing on neuroscience research and development. Dr. Lakhan is board-certified in both neurology and pain medicine, with clinical training from Cleveland Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital. His interests lie in transforming medicine and democratizing health care through prescription digital therapeutics and novel drug-delivery platforms. His clinical development experience spans phase I-IV drug and medical device trials including HEOR, RWE, IIS, and decentralized studies earning his programs breakthrough, orphan drug, priority review, and fast-track designations. He has facilitated the approval of several first-in-class drugs and medical devices. With over 100 peer-reviewed publications, books, and book chapters to his name, he was conferred the President's Call to Service Award for Lifetime Achievement by Pres. George W. Bush and The U.S. Congressional Award Gold Medal by Representative Nancy Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid.

“The immense value that software-enhanced drugs can offer to patients means pharmaceutical company pipelines could soon be digitized, and evaluated by prescribers, payers, and investors not only on the basis of their molecular assets but also for those assets’ digital counterparts. This in turn would dramatically transform the healthcare industry as we know it. I believe it will be routine for providers to consider whether to prescribe their patient the regular or software- enhanced “SE” version of a drug, much like they make a decision today whether to prescribe an immediate release or “XR” extended release version. This new approach adds meaningful clinical value for patients and eases access to adjunctive non-pharmacological care.”

Click has developed and evaluated a first-in-class digital migraine preventive therapeutic, CT-132, in two separate clinical studies to demonstrate a reduction in monthly migraine days, the gold standard measure. We look forward to advancing our FDA Breakthrough Designated asset through regulatory clearance and, if successful, offering a new therapeutic option that can be delivered to any eligible patient with a smartphone, meaningfully enhancing access to care.”
